Tour itinerary
Day 1. July 3, Ulaanbaatar
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to the hotel. City tour including Sukhbaatar square a central point of Ulaanbaatar, Zaisan hill with panoramic view of whole city and Gandan monastery, the largest monastery in the country. After lunch at the restaurant in UB will be excursion to the Natural history museum where the biggest dinosaur skeletons in the world and the fossilized skeletons of dinosaurs found in Gobi Desert are kept intact. Welcome dinner in one of the finest restaurants in UB. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2. July 4, Middle Gobi
Drive to Middle Gobi Province. On the way, visit Baga Gazriin Chuluu (Earth stone). Excursion to Earth stone, a sacred rocky mountain, 1760m above sea level, and is famous for its unique rock formation and beautiful natural environment. Then visit ruins of a temple from the 18 th century and a crystal-lined cave. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 3. July 5, South Gobi
Breakfast at the camp, continue driving towards the South Gobi. Arrive at Gobi tourist camp in the South Gobi in the evening. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 4. July 6, Visit Eagle valley and drive Khongor Sand Dune
Visit Yol Am ( Eagle Valley ) as picturesque place, there is ice even in summer and surrounded by cheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Visit Gobi museum. After lunch drive to Khongor Sand Dune. These are Mongolia 's largest sand dunes, reaching a heights of approximately 800 meters and known locally as the “Singing Dunes”. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 5. July 7, Camel ride trial through Mongolian largest wonderful sand dunes
Camel riding to the Khongor Sand Dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 6. July 8, Discover Bayanzag, the land of dinosaurs
Drive to Ongi Temple . On the way we will visit the legendary “Flaming Cliffs,” where the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922. Then drive to Bayanzag, a site famous for the remains of dinosaur which lived here 70 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saksaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 7. July 9, Visit Erdenezuu and Karakorum
Drive to Karakorum. Arrive at Karakorum in the afternoon. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Visit the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Great Mongolian Empire. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 8. July 10, Khustai N/P
Drive to Khustai National Park to see the Przewalski wild horses, recently re-introduced back to Mongolia. Visit the local information center for learn about the history of the last pure wild horses. Overnight in ger at tourist camp.
Day 9. July 11, Ulaanbaatar and The ceremony of Naadam festival
Drive to Ulaanbaatar. Participation in Naadam Festival Ceremony. See Mongolian wrestling and archery. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10. July 12, Second day of Naadam
Watch second day of Naadam, including wrestling, archery and traditional games. Tour the tent camp of the horse trainers and watch as they prepare the young riders for races.
You may choose a city tour where you can visit souvenir and cashmere shops. A gala farewell dinner and evening art performance. Overnight in hotel.
Day 11. July 13, Departure
Transfer to airport for return flight.
